Moomin by Gustaf & Linnea

Vi är väldigt stolta över våra produkter i samarbete med Moomin Characters Oy Ltd som förvaltar varumärket Mumin. Berättelserna om Mumin är skrivna av den finlandssvenska författaren Tove Jansson och handlar om den bekymmerslösa Muminfamiljen som består av runda och vita troll samt deras vänner. De bor i Mumindalen, en fridfull och naturskön plats där det alltid är ett nytt äventyr på gång.


Muminfamiljen delar många av våra egna värderingar såsom respekt och glädje för naturen, frihet att kunna leva det liv man vill och att söka sina egna äventyr. Vi har valt ut några av våra mest populära produkter och gjort en Mumin edition av dem, för oss alla Mumin-älskare därute. 

Läppceraten
På våra läppcerat har vi valt de figurer vi själva vurmar lite extra för, vilka är Muminmamman och Snusmumriken;

Snusmumriken är den evige frihetssjälen, vandrar sina egna vägar och lever ett enkelt liv i samklang med naturen. Snusmumriken tror inte på att ha för mycket saker, det gör bara livet komplicerat. Något vi själva beundrar och strävar efter i vårt eget liv. 

Bivaxdukarna
De fyra mönstren är inspirerade av den speciella naturen och växtligheten i Mumindalen och hur Muminfamiljen njuter av den. 

Enjoying nature 
Motivet handlar om att njuta av naturen och koppla av, se det vackra i naturens blomster och uppskatta enkelheten. I mönstret finns Mymlan som ligger på ängen och läser en bok, Snorkfröken som binder en blomsterkrans till håret och Snusmumriken som har lagt blommor runt sin hatt. 

Tending the earth
Motivet handlar om att odla och förvalta jorden, så och sprida frön, glädjas åt det nya som växer fram. I mönstret finns Muminmamman som sår frön från sitt förkläde ner i jorden, Muminpappan gräver, solen strålar och Mumintrollet gör lyckliga volter.

In winterland
Motivet handlar om en lugn och vilande period i Mumindalen, vintern, då det inte är många vakna i Mumindalen för de är vintersömn och sover i Muminhuset. Men om de mot förmodan vaknar ur sitt ide, då gör de det bästa av saken. I mönstret finns Muminhuset i snöskrud, Stinky och en hemul på skidor, Too-ticki spelar dragspel och Lilla My dansar. 

By nightfall
Motivet handlar om de magiska nätterna med stjärnfall och månsken i Mumindalen. Vi vet inte exakt var Mumindalen är, men vi gillar att tänka att vi alla tittar på samma stjärnhimmel, men från olika håll. I mönstret sitter Muminfamiljen och beundrar stjärnhimlen, Snusmumriken spelar dragspel och himlen glittrar av stjärnor.

We are very proud of our products in cooperation with Moomin Characters Oy Ltd who is the official body responsible for Moomin copyright supervision. The books and comic strips about Moomin is written by Tove Jansson, a writer, artist, cartoonist and the most widely read Finnish author abroad. The Moomins are a carefree and adventurous family consisting of round and white trolls and their friends. They live in Moominvalley, a peaceful and scenic place where there is always a new adventure happening. 

 

The Moomin family shares a lot of our own values such as respect and happiness for nature, to be free and live the life you want and to search for your own adventures. We have chosen a few of our most popular products and made them into a Moomin edition, for all of us Moomin lovers out there. 

The Lipbalms
On our lipbalms we have chosen two characters we admire and feel most connected to, which are Moominmamma and Snufkin; 

Moominmamma is Moominvalleys own Mother Nature, a safe base the others can rely on (nothing really works when Moominmamma is away). Moominmamma loves to grow and cultivate her garden, and has a warm, calm and loving energy around her.

Snufkin is the eternal free spirit, wondering his own path living a simple life in connection with nature. Snufkin don’t believe in having too much stuff, it just makes life complicated. Something we ourselves admire and strive for in our own lives. 

The Beeswax Food Wraps
The four patterns are inspired by the special nature and vegetation in Moominvalley and how the Moomins are enjoying it. 

Enjoying nature 
This motif is about enjoying and relaxing in nature, to see the beauty in the blossom and appreciate the simplicities in life. In the pattern is Mymble laying on the flower field reading a book, Snorkmaiden binding a flower wreath and Snufkin with flowers in his hat. 

Tending the earth
This motif is about growing and tending the earth, to sow and spread seeds, and be happy about the new that’s coming. In the pattern is Moominmamma sowing seeds from her apron down in the ground, Moominpappa is digging, the sun is shining and Moomintroll is making happy volts. 

 

In winterland
This motif is about a calm and resting season in Moominvalley, winter, where a lot of the Moomins are hibernating. But if they, which is unlikely, wake up from their sleep they will make the best of it. In the pattern is the Moominhouse in winter attire, Stinky and one hemulen on skis, Too-ticki is playing accordion and Little My is dancing. 

 

By nightfall
This motif is about the magical nights in Moominvalley with shooting stars and moonlight. We don’t know exactly where Moominvalley is, but we like to think that we are all looking at the same starry sky, but from different directions. In the pattern is the Moomin family admiring the starry sky, Snufkin is playing accordion and the sky is sparkling with stars.
